      Carol George, Ph.D., is Professor of Psychology at Mills College, Oakland, CA. Dr. George has authored numerous research articles and book chapters on adult and child attachment and caregiving. She is Associate Editor of Developmental Psychology and on the Editorial Board of Attachment and Human Development. She recently co-edited with Dr. Judith Solomon the book, Attachment Disorganization, the first comprehensive book in the attachment field on this new attachment dimension. In addition to the AAP, Dr. George has also co-developed a number of representational or projective attachment assessments for children and adults, including a Doll Play Projective Assessment, the Caregiving Interview,and the Adult Attachment Interview.


      Malcolm West, Ph.D., is Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Calgary, Calgary Alberta. Dr. West’s numerous publications on adult attachment include Patterns of Relating: An Adult Attachment Perspective with Adrienne Sheldon-Keller, an extension of developmental attachment theory to adults. In addition to the AAP, Dr. West has developed self-report assessments of attachment in adults and adolescents. He is also on the International Advisory Board of Attachment and Human Development.
